Terms and cancellation
The plain-English summary: you book after a free intro call, pay by invoice, can move a session free of charge up to 48 hours before, and as a consumer you have a 14-day right of withdrawal.
1. Scope
These terms apply to all services of Little Roots Munich, Abigail Hattendorf, Englschalkinger Straße 224, 81927 München ("I", "me") for clients ("you").
2. Nature of the services
I offer parent coaching, play-based development sessions, workshops and settling-in support for healthy families. These services are educational and advisory. They are not therapy, psychotherapy or anything else that counts as Heilkunde (the practice of medicine or psychotherapy) under German law, and they do not replace medical, psychological or other clinical diagnosis or care. You remain responsible for decisions about your family and for seeking clinical help where needed. I do not guarantee any particular outcome.
3. Booking and contract
Enquiries through this website are not yet a binding booking. After the free intro call I send you a written offer by email. The contract is concluded when you accept that offer in writing (an email is sufficient).
4. Prices and payment
The prices on the services page at the time of your booking apply. All prices are final. No VAT is charged under § 19 UStG (small business). You receive an invoice after booking; it is payable within 14 days by bank transfer. Packages are invoiced in full at the start unless we agree otherwise.
5. Rescheduling and cancellation of appointments
You can move or cancel an appointment free of charge up to 48 hours before it starts. For later cancellations or missed appointments, I charge the full session fee, unless I can fill the slot. If your child is ill, we reschedule free of charge regardless of notice. If I have to cancel, you get a new date or a refund for that session. Unused sessions in a package expire six months after booking.
6. Children's participation and supervision
During sessions at your home, a parent or other responsible adult remains present or reachable, and supervision of the child remains with you. Please let me know in advance about allergies or anything else I need to know to keep your child safe.
7. Confidentiality
Everything you share stays confidential. Exceptions apply only where the law requires disclosure, in particular if there are serious indications that a child's wellbeing is at risk (§ 4 KKG).
8. Liability
I am liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence I am liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations, limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract.
9. Right of withdrawal for consumers
Withdrawal policy (Widerrufsbelehrung)
Right of withdrawal. You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day the contract is concluded.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform me (Abigail Hattendorf, Englschalkinger Straße 224, 81927 München, Germany, email contact@littlerootsmunich.de) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an email). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient to send your notice before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal. If you withdraw from this contract, I shall reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which I am informed about your decision. I will use the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement. If you requested to begin the performance of services during the withdrawal period, you shall pay me an amount which is in proportion to what has been provided until you have communicated your withdrawal, in comparison with the full coverage of the contract.
Early expiry. The right of withdrawal expires once the service has been fully performed, if performance began only after you gave your express consent and acknowledged that you lose your right of withdrawal on full performance.

10. Final provisions
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For consumers, this choice of law applies only insofar as it does not remove the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which they habitually reside. Should any provision be invalid, the remaining provisions remain unaffected.
